Get in touch...

Give me a call on 07711 293847 (please bear with me if I don't answer - I'm probably with a client - just leave me a message with your contact details) or drop me a line here.  I'll get back to you and we can arrange to have a chat over a coffee...I'll bring my sample products and my full product price list and we can discuss what you're looking to get out of your shoot, where to have your session (I have plenty of suggestions if you don't have somewhere in mind!), and what to wear.  If you're interested in booking a newborn session, I'll talk you through how to prepare to get the best out of your session, as well as discussing colour schemes to best suit your home.  There's absolutely no obligation to book me at this point - it's simply a chance to get to know each other and for you to find out more.

Set a date...

If you're happy, let's make a booking!  Session dates can be pencilled in but are only firm bookings once the creative fee is paid.  For outdoors sessions, I also make a contingency date as well just in case of bad weather.  For newborn sessions, it's best to book whilst you (or your partner) are still pregnant as dates do book up well in advance - we'll provisionally book a date which can then be revised once your baby has arrived.

On the day...

Outdoors sessions are usually in the morning or late afternoon, when natural light is at its best.  Experience has shown me that children respond better when photographed earlier in the day and so child and family sessions usually take place in the morning.  My sessions usually last from 1-2 hours...I don't set a time limit, and I don't run sessions back-to-back so there's never any clock-watching.  When there are pre-school children involved in a session, I will always work around their needs - if little one needs a drink, a snack, a nappy change or a trip to the loo, then that's what happens!  Your session will be relaxed, fun and informal...I'll gently direct you into flattering light and positions for natural-looking photographs.  Newborn sessions take place in the morning and due to the need to settle, feed and change your baby, these sessions are usually 3-4 hours in length.

Your gallery...

After your session, I will select the best images and retouch them by hand.  This process usually takes between 1 and 2 weeks to complete.

Viewing...

Approximately 2 weeks after your session, you'll be able to view the gallery.  I'll come to your home and show you a slideshow from which you can select the images that you wish to buy.  I'll bring along my samples and price lists and guide you at each step to ensure that your products - whether you choose wall art, portfolio box or display pieces - complement your home and your lifestyle.  At this stage, a deposit is payable against the products that you order (payment plans can be set up if desired).

Delivery of your products...

Your beautiful products are usually delivered within 4 weeks (depending on the time of year - because printing, framing and finishing are done by hand, lead times can be longer in the run-up to Christmas.  If your session is later in the year, I will advise you of last possible dates for ordering before Christmas).  The final balance is payable upon delivery.
